How to Test Natural Gas Pressure Regulators in the Meter Shop

The platform has evolved over the last 10 years. The combo of understanding client requirements, engineering design, fabrication, assembly, testing and commissioning all under the same roof provides our clients with unequaled assurance.
THE BASIC RTM The RTM provides the safe, reliable and accurate means for in-testing the range of pressure regulators in your inventory. That includes: o IRV& OPSO testing
o NPT and flange connections up to 3-in.
o Inlet supply pressure up to 150 psig
o Outlet delivery pressure up to 50 psig,
o Flow rate up to 200 SCFH
o Flow rate control
o Monitor regulators

ADDED FEATURES The basic RTM is a manual cost effective way to accommodate all the tests recommended by ANSI B109.4.
The Smart Track APP was added to provide the operator with the specific in-test protocol and pass/fail criteria for each specific regulator as well as automated documentation of test results.
THE AUTOMATED RTM Several of the larger utilities needed a fully automatic regulator testing machine. The first design was based on in-testing smaller service regulators. It features a 19-in. touchscreen and window 10 computer, Allen Bradley PLC techology, a compact stainless steel cabinet and state-of-the-art flow control technology.

The recent design combines the basic RTM capacity to in-test all regulators in the inventory with fully automated finctionality.
